I have a HUMAX Foxsat HD box. All works fine, including BBC HD except that there's no ITV HD, even on the red button when the EPG tells me it exists. Why?
Is it my postcode? If so, anyone know which ones work and which one's don't? Thanks Michael |

As far as I know, you need an English postcode, The Scots and NI don't have it yet.
Here's one from Birmingham courtesy of Analoguesat B1 2JP A London one SW1A 1AA ( Buckingham palace )Robbo ![]()

I've started from scratch from factory settings - nothing seems to have changed regarding ITV HD. I'll check it out tonight.
I have also tried a manual tuning. This picks up a pile of channels, some of which are potentially useful like Sky News and ITV2+1 and aren't included on the Freesat scan. However there seems to be no way to add these channels to the Freesat selection. Or have I missed it? The manual scan would take a lot of organising to be useful, and doesn't look to have HD or Channel4 (or Ch4+1). Am I missing something, or is Freesat just a bu****s muddle? I had hoped to replace my Sky Digibox with FTV card, but Freesat is falling short. |

Also remember that ITV HD isnt a full time channel - its only broadcasting certain events at the moment. The red button to switch to HD is only shown when HD programming is on air (during the sport atm)

You can get all the fta channels on a Foxsat, but only by switching into non Freesat mode. (Cant remember the button sequence but check the manual). More channels will be added to the Freesat epg in the coming weeks - including all the ITV's and an assortment of general rubbish like BET, Kix etc.

ITV HD(in the Non-Freesat mode),is listed as 10510,and it is not viewable in the Non-Freesat mode, only in the Freesat mode(you can hear the sound in Non-Freesat mode,by pressing the MUTEbutton twice) It is not listed on the Freesat epg either, you just get the REDbutton prompt on ITV 1,when programmes are available on ITV HD,as AS has already pointed out. BBC HD(in the Non-Freesat mode),is listed as 6945. Channel 4,in the Non-Freesat mode is listed as 8350. Channel 4 +1 will only appear if you scan ALL,and not just FTA,as it is encrypted, and not fta. |
