Smile Sky dish 2 boxes?

Hi, I live in Spain and have a sky dish receiving the basic package. I would like to connect a free to view box for a second T.V. is this possible please? Please don't be too technical or I wont understand anything!! Thanks to anyone who can help. Both boxes have their own card if this makes a difference.

Hi,

You just need to replace the LNB with a TWIN or a QUAD, then run a new cable to the new box.

It depends what you have already, whether you buy a C120 (eg Invacom quad) or a QUAD LNBF (integrated feedhorn)

The Freesat box won't give you any more channels though, that is determined by dish size.

Thanks for the reply Robbo, I don't understand a word! However, I think I get the idea. I'm not worried about more channels on either box just the opportunity to watch something other than Football or Top Gear! Are you saying basically I need what I think of as a splitter. Please tell me what LNB stands for as I will have to ask for it in Spanish. What is the difference between a twin and a quad? Sorry to be so thick but I have no idea about technology.

Yeah, its the thingy on the end of the dish arm, that colects the signals from the dish and sends them down the cable.

You don't want a splitter.

You need an LNB with at least 2 ouputs.

If you post up a photo of what you have already, we can tell if you need an LNBF as shown below, or a C120 type
