Default What Is The Best DBox2 Image?

Can anybody tell me the all round best best DBox 2 image. It is a Nokia DBox with 2 intel chips. I am currently running the Cryo Pro 1.02 Ultra 1.4b 2006 image if that helps.

Thanks, Aidy

Laky pro is a pretty decent image, basic and straightforward and really good picture quality especially on large TV's. Lincsat's new image is a good un as well. I'm sure some of the other guys on here will have other suggestions but I prefer these 2 images at the minute. You can download them both from the downloads section mate.

Ok, cheers. How do I get into the downloads? I have clicked it but only a couple of files can be seen in DBox :S. Cheers.

So far I've found that Blade Quad has more features out of the three I've tried, but I'm not sure about the dim-looking blonde on bootup...

By the way, are you in Colne in Pendle or another one? If you are, then I'm not that far from you....

I tried the blade quad image and it has plenty of features but almost all I wouldn't use as I'm only using the box to watch TV. If you want it for anything other than TV then I'd agree with the badger...

The one feature I like is the "Remote + OSD" in yWeb, and so far only Blade Quad has got that feature, I like it only cos I don't actually have a remote for my Dbox2, plus I want to keep it out of sight, so a remote over WiFi with GUI screenshots is great...

Still haven't quite got streaming sorted out yet though...

So you've managed to set up a wifi connection between the box and your PC? I tried it but couldn't get it working but then again I only tried it briefly. What wireless bridge have you got connected to your box?

All I did was plug the box's network cable to the WiFi router & set it to use DHCP, and that's it, well I did have to go into the router's setup to find the IP of the Dbox that the router set, but that's all I did, instant WiFi connection using existing hardware...

The router's just a bog standard 54g one, it has the (legal) cable modem in one port, the Dbox in the other and an occasionally used cable in a third, nuffink speshul as they say...

Ah right, I've been trying to set the dbox up using a wireless bridge. My router is upstairs connected to the PC and wanted to be able to record etc over the wifi but not sure if it's possible. Yours looks like it's set up the reverse to how I tried. Thanks for the info mate
