Hey Everyone,
I got my Eurovox Max V a good few months back and it worked fine for around 5 months. Then all of the channels became scrambled and i didnt have a clue what to do, i just thought it was broke, so i unplugged it fo a while. When i found aout about the keys i plugged it back in and tried to install it again but the channels was still scrambled. Then when i entered the latest keys it was still scrambled. I feel as though i have just blew a lot of money on a box that will never work!!! anyone got any things i could try, like would I have to download the firmware for it or something, and if so, how??? thanks alot!! |

If you tried to perform a scan before you updated the keys the box doesn't like it too much but it's easy to sort.
Firstly make sure you have entered the keys correctly (typos are the only reason they don't work) Go to Menu / Languages and key in 19681968 on your remote. Now arrow <> accross till you find your provider and make sure you have the most recent keys in. Now exit back to Language screen and key in 1968 (once) on your remote. You should now see two extra options appear - Emulation and EMM Capture. Make sure these are both enabled and press blue button (Save and Exit). Now do a re-scan and your channels should be back. Ultimately, if your box is not a clone, you need to update the firmware on your box. You will find the firmware on the TCB.cc toolbar under Files/Fixes - use the firmware dated 18/4/08. You will also need an rs232 NULL MODEM cable to connect your box to your PC and, if your PC does not have an rs232 port then you will also need an rs232 to USB adapter. The instructions on how to update your box are here http://www.techwatch.co.uk/forums/29454-ronsters-guide-to-flashing-box-for-newbies.html

When I first manually entered codes I entered the ntl ones, didn’t work for me. Then I realised I should be using c&w. have you tried that?
