Not sure whether this post belongs in the FTA section or not (but I don't really think anyone expects to find a Freesat box in the Receiver section), but here goes anyway...
I'm using the Humax Foxsat-HD receiver, and I've noticed (it would be impossible not to!) that there's a major lip sync problem on HD channels in non-Freesat mode (though not too bad on BBC-HD - that's almost okay). Luxe (on 28.2E and 9E) and HD1 (23.5E), for instance, suffer from a serious lack of synchronisation between sound and vision. The receiver's lip sync adjustment doesn't help, as that only *increases* the audio delay - it needs to be *reduced* (or, alternatively, a vision delay needs to be introduced). Has anyone else had a similar experience? Any ideas? |

Its a common complaint amongst the Humax Foxsat owners.
Usually switching to another channel, and then back again, seems to fix the problem temporarily. AS,could you move this thread to the correct section,Thanks. |

Thanks for that, Sat-World. Unfortunately, the channel-switching approach doesn't help. As this is a known problem (and quite severe sometimes), is it something that might be rectified in a future software update? (If Luxe HD ever gets added to the Freesat EPG, then I guess something would *have* to be done.)
By the way, sorry about posting in a not-entirely-appropriate section. Perhaps the arrival of Freesat means a new section is needed (???). I was going to suggest that Freesat might be combined with Sky/Astra 2 (but then, my post referred to channels that aren't on Astra 2!). |

Hi mate, It would appear that some of the Foxsat boxes give this problem, fortunately mine is not one of them. It is something the Humax are reported to be working on and it should be sorted in the next update, the one they are calling the mother of all updates, not Humax, but the boys over on DS.
I should think that it will be sorted with the next update. Very best regards Wez
