That's Ok, you will just receive all the Free to air broadcasts from the 28e slot as you would with a bbc freesat receiver. You won't get any Hd content though without upgrading to a freesat Hd reciever.

Non fta channels will require a valid subscription and cannot be viewed without a smart card

okay, i was just looking at threads about a Technomate 1000D and similar, i take it u mean there are no legal ways

Which alternative are there to sky Im sorry for all the questions, i have spent hours looking through the forums and none are as basic as what a noob like me needs

all i really want is movie channels, are there any nice selections on the same satellite or do you still need a motorised one?

A Motorised satellite system would give you a wide choice of channels for sure.

You will need to do a search.

I can tell you there are some cracking movie channels in English on 26e, Mbc 2, and Mbc action
