Recommend a 78cm or 88cm (West beam & S1) to be safe and to cope with fain fade attenuation.
78cm would be a good choice. I have installed 50+ Turksat

Let me give you some advice. Ive been trying for Turksat also, and have wasted a lot of time, maybe i can help save you some. I have had a lot of great advice from Robbo and Sat man. I got a 60cm dish and have tried Turksat - now i can pick up the signal but it is very difficult. What i would say is that if you have got good accessibility to your dish/bracket then you could get away with a 60cm dish. But it sounds as if you (like me) have a dish in a very awkward position. In that case I would recommend you get a new 80cm dish and bracket and put it somewhere lower and more accessible. A 80cm would hold the signal a lot better and the weather wouldnt affect the signal as much, as with the 60cm when i rains you get a bad signal. GL

Thanks RobinHood. Now I am getting confused though. I had reports of guys having no problems rain or sunshine with a 45cm Sky Minidish with at least all the TRT channels. I went one size bigger for a Zone 2 60cm dish to be safer. All I want is all the TRT channels, all I get now is TRTINT on Astra 19.2. If I get TRT 1 - 4 I will be happy. Dont you guys think I can manage that with a 60cm reliably ? Would this be the reason why nobody can find the satellite ?

The reason why no one can find the satellite is because they may not know what they are doing of course.
TRT on 11.919 can be received with a 60cm as it EIRP West beam is 53dBW for UK and on Turksat 2A. You might find installers reluctant to install with such a small dish for this satellite. My contact hasn't come back as of yet |

OK,
***CONFIRMED RESULTS FOR 11.919V / TRT - LOCATION MIDLANDS UK*** That's how long it took me to rig up a new Zone 2 dish and align on 42e ![]() *** Receivable transponder with Zone 2 to an acceptable level *** I am afraid my contact is away so you'll have to search for an installer OR do it yourself. For your installer ( if he knows what this means ) > Signal power 72.3dBuV > MER 10.8 > bBER 4.0 E-4 GIVEN YOU ONLY WANT THIS TRANSPONDER, YOU WILL OK WITH A Z2 DISH ALTHOUGH I WOULD ALWAYS RECOMMEND A 78CM Satman
