Hi Guys,
Got a really odd problem with my DBOX. After losing a few channels on my Andromeda V2.0 Image, I decided to do a rescan and noticed the channels disappeared completely. Thinking my image was borked I reflashed but still had same problem. I tried the new Blade Quad Image but couldn't find any channels at all. I started to experiment, and copied a back up copy of my Services.xml to the box, rebooted and had all my Channels back bar the ones that originally went missing. Does anyone have any ideas? I had this problem back in Feb, and I just changed images, removed the Services.XML file, did a full UK Scan and got it working again - this time with no success. Any ideas guys? |

Some of the newer images don't scan as well as the older ones for some reason, don't know why but loads of peeps are having problems with the latest images ?????????
That's why everyone should always keep a backup of their services and bouquets !!!!!!!!!! Try an older image like the Don V4, I got the best scan results using this image. It's also a great image with fantastic picture quality, why not give it a go.......remember to FTP in the rom 7 fix and swith to evocam or mgcam. |

I have gone back to old Andromeda for now and restored my Services.xml but some channels are still missing.
Am I right in thinking that if I delete the services.xml file, then set my location and do a brute scan, the services xml file will be recreated? |

Set your location via the blue button menu then reboot. Go to the servicescan menu, set to scan for all services, set bouquets to leave current and set your provider for your area, ie 6952 for telepest or 6887 for nthell then set fast scan to on then blue to scan, should take four minutes max. Now go to bouquet editor and drop the lost channels back into the bouquets of your choice.....remember that some channels may be duplicated and some wont work.......but others will.
good luck |

I'm having similar issues in with Virgin in SWINDON. I hadn't ran my box for a while, just back off hols, so I thought normal key roll etc, and I went through the usual procedures of key updates.
Had no luck, everything decoded ok except for the Movies channels, so I backed up my keys / files as normal and went for an AutoUpdated fixed image (Andromeda). Image flashed without a hitch, I restored keys / bouquets etc, but I still have the same problem. I've tried a few images now, and it seems like what used to be the hidden part of the movies channels have just disappeared. But I'll wait a couple of days in case it's service related. At least I can watch the sports channels so all is not lost ![]() I tried the Quad image and no joy with that, everytime I converted the x2 to an x1 image I started to get wierd folder access errors. Maybe my box is fubar. I have a 1x Sagem btw. W. Last edited by wizard1; 28-06-08 at 10:31 AM. |
