Default Help Progdvb

OK been reading through here all day and Im now a bit stuck.

I downloaded all the relevant files from download page Installed ProgDVB as the guide said
I selected UKbrute force ini file and scanned after about 50 minutes

When this process finished I was left with a list of folders on the left numbered 41-71 some number were missing from the sequence and each folder also had a different name of a UK location.
None of these locations were the area I happen to live in though (Wirral)

Next I installed Vplug and copied over v_keys.db that came with the file

When I click on a green channels in these folders I do get a picture which is a bit choppy on some channels

When I click on the red channels I just get a blank screen

I did a bit more reading and found out about a toolbar that give some keys I followed the instructions in this thread Transponder creator to input the keys updated the corresponding keys that the toolbar gave me closed everything restarted and tried the red channels again but there still nothing opens

So this is were I'm stuck

Anyone see what I've done wrong do I need a special v_keys.db or an ini file for my area if so were can I get these from.
Also what can I do about the choppy picture

any help most appreciated

pokerdude101 Hi,
What card are you using? Did you install the latest BDA drivers for your card.
In progdvb go to channel list/properties/group by have a play until you get the channel names make sure the type is dynamic.
I think it is a waste of time using a v-keys.db as these are almost always out of date for uk cable (old keys in database) you first of all need the correct keys for your area, write them down. Tune to a scr*mbled channel, Go to plugins/vplug then click on the blue icon top right, make a note of your provider ID. right click in the space where the keys are select "delete all records", imput - name N - prov ID - (the one you wrote down) key index - 00 + 01 (you do it twice, one for each key) - the one you wrote down for the 00 and the 01, then add new each time.
Progdvb/options/directshow – what is the TV channel using e.g.: elecard drop down the box and tell us what codecs you have on your machine. Good luck!

Heres how my channel list looks is this right

I've also tried updating to the latest progdvd but makes no difference

Looking at vplugins as you suggested my provider ID apears to be 5D01 is this right as there is no key starting with this on the toolbar

write THE KEYS DOWN on paper. Tune to a scr*mbled channel, Go to plugins/vplug then click on the blue icon top right, use that provider ID. right click in the space where the keys are select "delete all records", imput - name N - prov ID - 5D01 key index - 00 + 01 (you do it twice, one for each key) - the one you wrote down for the 00 and the 01, then add new each time.

Many thanks willin I finaly seem to be getting somewere

When you say write THE KEYS DOWN on paper do I have to enter the keys for all five areas from the toolbar ie input all ten keys 2 for each area with my provider ID.

At the moment I have just done keys from C&W (5C 01) with my ID

Most things seem to be opening with the exception of the Sky Sports Channels when I select these My L & Q bars drop to arond 30% and the picture is extreamply choppy even though other channels in the same folder free & sub have levels of 78% - 100%

Also when I clicked on BBC HD progdvb crashed complety think I might have read someway this could be down to a codec issue so I can search a bit more on this
Think I read someware about using a Nvidia Codec not sure if this was HD though

Nice one mate, just the 2 for your area C&W. try a different codec see how you get on, nvidia pure video decoder is good if you can aquire a copy. 682750 is the frequency for sk* sports 1+2 in the wirral
