I have a FireDTV, Icecrypt Cam with Joker 0.79, CAS3 programmer and a Funcard 4.
I think what I need to do now is: 1. Find out the boxkey of the cam, put this on the funcard. 2. Put the info for my area on the funcard - I can get a services.xml file that people use for the dbox. How do I find out the boxkey of the cam? How do I program the fun4 with the boxkey? ( I read that I need to put it in the Exteep?) and how do I put on the info for my area. I tried to get the boxkey from FireDTViewer but the CAM info is grayed out. ![]() I used the CAS3 and connected the CAM using the JCard and it connected ok: ![]() In CAS Studio, I went to Utilities>Common Interface Host and all I got was "initializing CI module": ![]() I did a report with the FireDTV tool and the Joker cam shows up: ![]() thanks |

First things to do now are..
- Install TheChatterBox.CC toolbar. - Download the AU Fun4 latest card files. - Use nagraedit to edit the area file for you're are (NTL, C&W etc) and put in any code for your IRD and the box key from the Joker 0.79 firmware. You can get this from http://www.lefdata.com/satellite/cam/ci.html as it's shown next to the CAM (sorry I'd post the actual number but I don't think it's allowed.. though links might not be either :-/) - Put in the latest public keys, also available from the toolbar you just installed. - Burn the files to the fun4 card - Ciwan's tutorial should get you through this. - Pop it in and away you go. I did this under Vista, using the MCE drivers for the TV card. If you follow Ciwan's tutorial to program the files and get it to your card you should then be ok. I used the Infinity USB programmer in Vista and it worked fine. |

Thanks for your help guys, I'm nearly ready to start.
Just one thing to clear up. I downloaded Funcard 4 files for my area from this site : ->Private FTA->Other Cable TV->Funcard Files+Tut, and from a link on the tcb.cc toolbar: (Files & Fixes->Cab*e Files->Card Programming->Funcards->Complete Funcard.) The latest hex file for my area that I was able to find is "chaos V3.HEX" which has a date modified of 25/05/07. I did find another hex file for the fun4 under: files&fixes->Card Fixes->8th April 2008->Pure N**>Funcard AU Fix Relaesed 14/4/2008. ( I also found "CryptHex- v1 /v2 /v3" but these are form 2005/6.) Which one of these should I use or I looking in the right place? thks |

I used the CryptHex v3 files in the Funcard AU and Normal file from Files & Fixes->Cab*e Files->Card Programming->Funcards->Complete Funcard a few weeks ago. Works perfectly.
