I believe virgin are upgrading their broadband speeds for free,does anyone know how you upgrade,or will it happen automatic? thanks

Virgin don't always send out an email to say they have upgraded you. You need to check the upgrade webpage and after they have upgraded you, you must reboot your modem for the new speed to work.

wont recognise me email address as it is still an @ntlworld.com address and not @virgin.net

Try http://www.virginmedia.com - should recognise ntl, blueyonder as well as virgin.net (at one stage from the local library it would only recognise ntlworld.com addresses, as it was defaulting to the connection type).

All areas are to be completed by end of july, 4mb up to 10mb, 20mb to 50mb
Best thing to do is what i do, simply when u get up in morning turn on pc and see if any change to speed, only way you'll find out for sure

Hi i contacted vm last night about speed upgrade for free it's region by region and was told so area's will not be completed till september .

Not sure mate but I got a letter from them today offering me an upgrade to 10MB for 30 days for Free. Pity I paid to upgrade to 10MB 3 weeks ago then. Might be worth a call & ask them for a free trial.
