Default FireDTV: No Channels on MCE or Viewer.

It says found no services after I do a scan but when I go to mce>settings>tv>guide>edit channels, I can see the names of 564. All the boxes beside them are ticked and I then save this but no channels when I try live tv and it says "no channels are available..." when I go to the guide.

I presume I will have to change the transponder info in the registry.
I think I know how to do it - ie go to the Transponder folder in FireDTV and open the reg file with notepad and do the changes there.

But I'm not sure exactly what to do the the information from the dbox2 services xml file I got from my area.

When I open the FireDTV Transponder info this is what I see.
I believe the info in the right is the symbol rate and in the middle are the frequencies. Is this right? And what are the numbers on the left?

So, I put the frequencies from the services file in the middle and the symbol rate on the right, but what goes on the left?

and my services file looks like this in excel:

This is what I'm using.

FireDTV | IceCrypt Cam with Joker 0.79 | FunCard 4 with area flash, exteep and k's added | Windows XP MCE 2005 or FireDTV Viewer.

Have FireDTV 4-5-N driver installed with MCE Plug in.

thanks

I'm a slight bit lost TwinTown.

Here's the info I have, ie the FireDTV reg file and the services xml file.

I know I have to put the frequencies from the services file into the reg file - just not sure where they go!

thanks

Thanks TwinTown,

I used that file and I got all the relevant channels in the guide.

However, I only got a picture on a few of the free ones. The rest have the no signal message. I then realized I hadn't the cam in the FireDTV!

So, I put the cam back in, but no luck.

I think the problem is the funcard so I changed the the flash from CryptHexv3 to chaos V3 hex and also Pure Fun Fix without any success.

I think it might be the boxkey - I used the default (h**p://www.satellietnl.nl/CIcam.htm) and I just made up the ird.

I'm going to d/l my theatre and see if I can get the actual boxkey off that.

I also have a zeta blue cam with joker 0.79 so I'll give that a go as well.

Is there an ird number on the cam as well?

thks

Hi.

I used the bk that comes with joker 0.79 and made up an IRD, I used the AU Fun 4 files with ChaosV3 for my area and that allowed me to scan for the channels.

I've recently been sent two services.xml files - one from a friend the other side of the city and a huge zip file containing all areas over the country. Both files frequencies were slightly different but oddly both seemed to pick up the same channels.

Some channels were still showing as a black screen though but I just noticed the keys have rolled for my area so did a quick update and now the picture is working ! So double check the keys.

I still don't have any box office channles though despite putting the right frequencies in and the AU doesn't seem to be working.
