I have a black ntl pace box one of the newer types. This is a modded box and recently is loading up so it gets a signal and then once it has booted up the screen is just black. if i press up channel on the remote it goes through the channels showing that all the channels are there and the box hasnt been cut off but just a black screen shows ??

check ur scart lead

When you say a newer one what model is it??
Check the engineers menu to see what the levels are like and make sure its all as it should be,

i have checked my scart and it doesnt appear to be that mate. i have also gone on the engineers menu but dont no exactly what i am looking for. the are code is ok. it also doesnt say blacklisted its a 1000 phase newer than the old pace boxes with 2 card slots mine only has 1 any other ideas please??

check the signal strenght if it stays black and doesnt say anything then it could be something to do with tuner.

That is in fairness an old box mate,
What are the signal levels like??
If its saying blacklisted then thats a probable cause!! is this a modded box or one your modding,

this is a modded box i do have a samsung 2100 but this is in my spare room but i still need it working. yes its a modded box mate been working fine for months until a couple of days ago and i thought it was the scart its saying siganl levels low? that shows its still getting a signal surely

check the tuner sometimes the CIMs can come off, it just needs re soldering thats all.
