novice angle guide.

How to ensure talk-back has been cut-offfficeffice" />>>
>>
  • If you were previously getting interactive services then you can press the interactive button on your remote. If interactive does not come on then that is one way of knowing its been cut off. >>
  • If that does not work, then on your LED on the box there are three lights, top, middle and bottom. The middle light is the one that is related to "talkack". If the light is flashing and then stays off for a period of time, it shows that interactive has been successfully cut off. >>
  • Or thirdly, if you just want to be sure, then you have to open the covers and find the track which is normally supposed to be cut of to prevent talk-back. If the track has been scratched off, then talk-back has 100% been cut off.>>
  • On a T*W CR3 STB, press TV ON DEMAND button and select SETTINGS == > DIAGNOSTICS and take a look at DHCP STATUS. If it say’s “RETURN PATH IS OFF” then TalkBack has been cut. If it say’s “RETURN PATH IS ON”, then TalkBack has NOT been cut.>>

that i think explains it, dont u think? perhaps u didnt read it throughly?

Good of you to make the apology. Bear in mind that some members really do frown upon TB not being cut, you have your reasons for it which is your choice but all the posts on here were giving help and advice. Now everyone has kissed and made up I hope you get your problem sorted. I did not post before but I read many posts as that is how I learn stuff...... just in case you wondered "WTF did he come from?"

Best post in this thread-And good for you to apologiseFirst rule in modding is:

ALWAYS CUT TALKBACK!!

Its been said over and over again and so many people come on and look to get on demand-this is pure greed and deserves the user to be caught-whether you obtained the box with it enabled doesn't matter. You shouldn't be using it and be happy with the services you get without on demand. Someone, somewhere along the line will be charged for these on demand purchases because the box is registered to them.

One thing that may or may not help the OP. But I dare to say it anyway.

If it is only the free music stuff you are after. Would it not be a good idea to take up some sort of subscrption with Virgin Media (eg phone) and the get the Free TV service, I think it comes with On-Demand. I'm sure someone will correct me if I'm wrong. I have XL TV myself, so can't check.

I've just cut the tb, i wasnt doing it out of greed i had it then it went so i thought how do i get it back but after seeing the reasons why now i understand, surely other people cannot be charged for the od purchases made by someone else just bcoz it used to be their box?
