Default freeview totally disapeared & i mean totally

hi guys...i have a samsung 42" tv with built in freeview..suddenly the complete freeview channels have disapeared...there is a button on remote control for DTV which i press for freeview but all it does now is show a screen with DTV in top left hand corner & nothing else...i cannot access any type of menu to retune or rescan as it seems to not exist anymore..i have an lcd tv upstairs & that picks up freeview fine ( both tv's connected to same aerial) thru a multi aerial box in loft)..i did have to move the tv that i am having probs with recently to redecorate..but i put all the cables etc back to where they came from..the samsung is connected to a sky box and a dvd/video recorder..if that helps...anyone have any idea at all why everything associated with freeview has totally gone form the samsung 42" tv...many many thanks in advance for any help/ideas/suggestions..cheers
