Firstly, i own the same programmer, no driver or software is required for use, period.

It works fine with XNCS, NagraEdit and Mrom, all tested, all function without problems.

As stated by other members, the USB port provides power only, thus saving the need of an external PSU.

I have tested the programmer in Vista and XP without issue, a friend even uses a linux box with wine and his version of nagra and he can read/write without issue too.

Perhaps the problem is related to your PC, rather than the programmer.
