how can i get bk?
what sort of serial cable do i need to use libby?

For the 2000 youll need a paired card and an unlooper and a programmer, or lift the atmel chips read them replace them then program a card,
Only way mate sorry them boxes are ****s !!!

The serial port on the back is of no use to get the bk and ird

also mate, you could try a voltmeter way, check in downloads for the guide, well it should easier then lifthing the two chip.

If youve got a 9 pin serial port on the laptop then you need a 9 pin serial cable,you can then use that with libby to change netid
afaik the 25pin on the 2000 doesnt work for libby,

is a 1000 easier ive now got the chance for a 2000 or a 1000. but the 1000 is an ntl box and im in a tw area. is it worth the hour drive to collect it.

The 1000 unless its a 1000 phase 1b wont work in TW mate,to be honest i didnt think the 2000 did either ? is the 2000 a tw box?

am i right in thinking i'll lose some channels?
will i still need an unlooper?
its got a card with it how is the easiest way of getting bk from these boxes
