Default projector as 2nd monitor

ive just aquired a sanyo projector and wondered if i could set this up as a 2nd monitor or desktop extension???, its got vga, s-video and a few other inputs, never got a manual so a bit stuck on settings yet.

You might be able to, have you got somewhere to plug it in on the PC.

(eg a dual head graphics card)

Or do you want the same picture on both displays, in which case a vga splitter can be used.

I use a PC at work with 4 monitors (I'm greedy) and had to buy a couple of extra dual head graphics cards, the connector on the back is some high density white thing, which can be split into two separate outputs.

Its a sanyo plc-sw30, my grafics has an s-video so ill use that, cant moan for £20 just got a manual too no remote thou
its just to mess with really, i have cable on my pc so thought i might be interesting to setup as desktop and put my tv image on it and have nice big screen, can produce 200"

That white socket is the DVI-out, which you can use with a DVI-HDMI cable for hooking up to a HDTV...

But anyway, yes, a VGA splitter would be best, it'll have a higher resolution than the s-video socket and much clearer images when set to the projector's native resolution...
