Default Eurovox Max V 2008 - Dead Box! JTag? PLEASE HELP!!!!

Hello everyone

I need urgent help here. A friend of mine recently bought a Eurovox Max V 2008 box of fleabay and it literally will not power on! It just seems dead. No power to it whatsoever!

We have checked the inside of the box, it is not a clone, and there does not appear to be any damage ie. blown capacitator, loose components etc.

There is also no blown fuse in the plug or faulty lead etc and the box has also been tested in my own house using my eurovox power lead and on different powerpoints in both his and my house.

I have read on a few threads within the forum about JTagging the box but I am unsure as to how this works and so I am looking some help on it.

If the box is completely dead can this bring it back to life? Does this add the software back on the machine and if so how does this work if there is no power going to the machine?

Could the box be dead because the previous owner did a bad job of loading the software and firmware etc on to it?

Apologies if this is a lot of questions but I thought it would be best to give as much information as possible. Any help on this would be gratefully appreciated.

If it does need JTagged would it be best to buy this from fleabay?

If he's only bought it - has he contacted the seller for a replacement?

Any chance you could post some pics of the power board?

To jtag the box it needs to be in standby - so dunno if jtagging would work if there is no power at all.

I have jtagged a red box showing no signs of life whatsoever. No lights at all.i first checked all voltages on power board which were correct. The jtag worked fine, then reflashed with latest firmware.hope this helps
