pace 4010 jtag connection trouble!!

hello i hope someone can help, im trying to get bk from a 4010 by jtagging i have built a jtag cable follwoing instructions from downloadz but when i try and connect sdt samm debug tool it says pc-target disconnected error

what does the paralel port in my bios have to be set to is 1.7 1.7 and ecp-epp ?

n e ideas plz

does the box have to powered up while doonig this .

could it be down to wrong bytes has any 1 got the new bytes plz

if its any help mate, my printer port was set to ecp-epp mode and it worked for me.

without power to the box you'll get that 'pc-target disconnected error' or check you have the jtag pins the right way round if you still get that message with the power on.

cheerz m8, the pc to target error im getting is maybe due to power-

right is this what id do:-
1..turn off pc

2--connect jtag to pc and box- set bios to ecp-epp

do i power on the box now???????????????????

3--save settings boot to windows-
4..start mac-mot driver
5.start SDT
6.set netid to ntl pure net id -- 00022 is this right!! i got of fta dl but is this the part i need the first set of digits!
7..click checksum crc thingy
8..ibe only got the bytes from default
has any1 got the ntlpure up2date bytes plz!
9..click connect----------sorted!! got tutorial from there

yes i have connected 8-15, also im quite a compatent solderer i was taught at school and have done many project large n smaller built max interfaces etc ...so i beleive my work is as the instructions say! but thanx m8

You need driver mac mot running with ocd, bke or sdt, that error is usually connection problem, is your lpt1 connection cable a parallel one, you can plug direct into back of pc if you take nuts off, also check your j tag connection is right.
Do sammy on stream , pace cable disconnected nit on display.

hi i am trying to jtag my pace 4010. i built the jtga my self using db25, where i ve connected pins 18-25 and soldered a wire on those pins, other wires are soldered on pins 2, 3, 4, 5 and 11. my questions are, which of the wire goes to which jtag point on the box and which tool do i use,
BKE v2.2.exe or SDT.exe? any advice is apriciated.
