Default possible new customer - via virgin - few questions..

hi all,
first of all i want to say what an informative forum this is.. iv been on here for ages and read loads of interesting info and am considering making the jump to these clever 'little boxes' from being sky plus.

so i'm thinking i may get a eurovox EX5000 PVR as i do love the sky plus facility

1) is this a good choice? or are there others that are better which offer the recording facility.

2) is eurovox the easiest to update? new keys etc..

3) i am already a virgin media bb customer and the people who use to own my house were virgin customers too so I have what appears to be TWO connections into my house from virgin/ntl

(one in the living room and one in the back room) one in the back room is where my bb is!

so to connect my new 'clever box' to the virgin connection do i just buy one of these splitters i see talked about (ive seen em on ebay)
and then connect my box that way? or do i need to subscrive to virgin tv - cheap package?

4) do you think the one in the living room (used by the old owners) will still be 'live' or only the recently installed connection where my BB comes in? as i would like to potentially buy 2 boxes to have in both rooms

thank you for reading this and i hope i can join the revolution soon
newbie

1. Dont know
2. I reckon most are easy (once you've done it for the first time) if you have latest firmware on there is no need to update keys.
3 The broadband connection is all you need (TV and BB come down the same line)
4 probably but only by trying it will you know for sure. You could take another line from your BB to the other room as well
