Default What is the Fastest Speed Achievable-Multiple Modems

Hi I have 4 ambits all hacked for 20 mb. They are all working on there own.

My question is if I connect all 4 modems through wingate will I get 80mb.

Or What is the best speed I could achieve through the cable.

Am I wasting my time using 4.

Thanks

P.s probably wont make a difference but I'm from Ireland on the UPC ex ntl network

Thumbs up Re: What is the Fastest Speed Achievable-Multiple Modems

Dude that would be sweet. i want to see the the picture of the speedtest lol! sick. ive read about trying to get more than one cm connected to one pc and combining the bandwidth. you need all modems connected to different lan cards on the pc and the use of software like midpoint or wingate.

if you have success mate please share your info. i would like to know how its done.

also the new 50Mgs service Virgin is currently testing uses three modems in one box all tuned to differen freqs and combining the bandwidth.

worth a look @

hmm last time i did it

i used 6x 10mbs (as 10mb was the best back than) and the max on the feed line was only 37MB i belive it still is only 36mb

so say i had 6x 20mb i would get = 37mb

but it could be changed now
