There's no mac workaround I'm afraid.

Do none of your m8s have a PC you could borrow use of?

The first thing you need to do is make sure you don't have a clone. Have a look at the document I've attached to my post here (4th post down) trying to update

You should be able to check the pics against your own box by looking through the vents at the top (if you prefer not to open it).

Make sure your rs232 cable is a NULL MODEM one - the standard serial cable may look the same but is wired differently.

Lastly, rs232 to USB adapters can be a bit hit and miss so be prepared.

Hi lucky 13,

just taken the cover off and I'm pretty certain I have a blue eurovox max, the ribbons look neat, and I think there are green capicators inside, do you know if they have a brown covering on top?

Do you know of anything else I should be looking for. The pdf I looked at said shiny on the twin scart lead input?, does this mean the opposite of matt (sound obvious I know, lol) .

Just don't want to end up with a brick as the kids and missus will lynch me.

If I have a blue box then I need to locate a usb to rs232 cable, hopefully maplins will have one and follow all the relevant instructions.

Thanks for all your help

jasben
