Good Morning all,
First of all, let me compliment all involved for a truely fantastic forum. I've been reading for hours here, picking up all sorts of info on cable boxes and the possibilities they offer, having being completely ignorant to their existance up until about 6 days ago. I've installed one for my dad, downloaded the software, installed, and did a power scan and found ourselves approx 58 channels which is not bad by all accounts and we were happy enough with our lot. Then i read the forums here and found that people were finding 140+ so i though - i'll have some of that. After a couple of hours, manually inputting settings and reading posts, i realise that all info offered was for N*L in Dublin, and our original cable was provided by what used to be ch***s. Needless to say there were no channels found after in putting the 13 key fequencies mentioned numerous times in the forum. I will mention, that in other posts, it refers to sample rates of 6.887 however, on the power scan where i've found channels, it was on the sample rate of 6.875 and i find approx 10 frequencies, ranging from 324mhz to 468mhz - giving us the 58 channels. Does anyone perhaps know the specifics of the frequencies for the ch***s channels, and how many more we may be able to receive ? We're living in the Kildare area of Ireland, outside Dublin. Also, the S/W version we have is 1.0 STC4 April 18 2008. Hope this isnt too longwinded, and there is enough information to help you with any solutions you might have to offer. Thanks in advance, C Last edited by carnivalofsorts; 04-07-08 at 01:49 AM. |

I'm not conversant with Ireland Ch***s etc but the symbolrates for scanning are 6887 for nthell and 6952 for others
so maybe you should try 6952 |

You need to input symbol rate 6875 and manually install TPs for your area.
324 340 348 356 364 372 386.750 394.750 410.750 418.750 444 452 460 To add these frequencies you need to: 1. Press menu, installation, user installation. Use 1004 if asked for PIN. 2. Press green button for TP edit. 3. Press red button to add TP. 4. Enter frequency and symbol rate 6875. 5. Press OK, then repeat these steps until all frequencies have been added, one by one. When they're all in press exit and go back to first page of install menu. Press the red button for auto scan/update channels. This will do a scan an all the frequencies entered. You will only receive approximately 85 to 90 channels for your area. Last edited by satsmo; 04-07-08 at 04:43 PM. |
