The only software you need if you are going to connect via lan is FlashWizard Pro - and Dreamboxedit. Both are free and can be found easily enough

If you have a network and a router connected to the internet, then connect your Dreambox to your router using a straight patch lan cable. If you dont have a router then I would recommend you get one if you have a broadband connection.

Alternatively you will need a crossover lan cable to connect your Dreambox to your PC.

You dont need to buy any software. All useful software is available free for download.

The reason for a direct internet connection for the Dreambox is not for sharing, it is for downloads from dedicated servers. This can be done by a few remote control button pushes rather than downloading to PC and then transferring.

An emulator is effectively a softaware cam - its the decryption unit. They dont contain keys, but key files can be found in various locations, and some images have key updaters built in.

Dont expect to open everything - most pay tv providers are still secure and require access to a subscription card even on DB's

BTW -Id strongly suggest you stay well away from the satan key updater - its past its prime andd is basically a pile of sh!te . If it cant connect to the server for any reason it has a nasty habit of trashing the image in use, and its no fun having to put everything back together.

Use the hacksat updater instead.
