Hello to everyone again
I have a eurovox max red version and all channels have just gone off to no signal. Just wanted to ask what was happening and if any one else has this problem. I see from another post that virgin has had some prob in manchester has that been rectified? Could this be the same here or do i need to do a possible update? I did one back in Apr or Mar when everything went down. Any help would be appreciated I have a daughter crying out for Scooby doo on a saturday. She have me pulling out my hair in a minute!! hee hee ![]() Thankyou Regards Line engaged |

Hi, yes the same has happened with my box as off yesterday, I'm on Ch***s in Ireland. Have tried doing an update, tried a full power scan but nothing. No channels are being detected and signal strength is hovering around 5-15% only. Any else any ideas how to get over this one? I have loaded on the latest firmware as of last April.

@line engaged - are you back on again?
@Tigerman - which April firmware did you use? If you used the 28/4/08 firmware then you'll need to reflash it with 18/4/08

Hi Lucky 13
Thankyou for your reply. Very much appreciated Unfortunatly still not back up and running. In system information the software version seems to be dated Apr 10 2008. Is there a later version? If so can you confirm from where I can download as I know bigmaq is no longer in operation. Regards Line engaged |

bigMAQ was reborn as the TCB.cc toolbar - go to www_thechatterbox.cc and you'll get the new toolbar there.
There was a new release dated 21/4/08 but that shouldn't affect your reception. Have you got a subbed box and does this still work? Also - check the website for your cable provider as there may be work/fault in your area.

Hello again and thankyou once again
ok checked the website and well it says that yesterday evening there was loss of broadband in my area not loss of tv. Also the tv I lost just this morning suddenly was ok untill this morning. Got the tool bar do you reckon I should update software? I have read that some people had to go back to the 10th april version. Not sure what to do ![]() Dont know what a subbed box is. Its not a clone anyway I know that. Could you elaborate on the subbed thing? Thankyou Regards Line engaged |

If you are subscribing to a cable company then they provided you with a box ie. a subbed box.
The 'No Signal' message means just that - there is no signal going into the box. Check that your feed is still live by re-connecting your subbed box. If you don't have a subbed box then try connecting your cable feed directly into your telly and see if you can pick up the standard terrestrial channels ie. bbc1 etc.

Im still not sure whether you are subscribing to a cable company ?? if you are are the pictures from your set top box ok? if you are not subscribing to a cable company then what you get down the cable feed is in the lap of the Gods so to speak and cable companies can disconnect that feed at any time ....some people are lucky and get away with it,but the only way to ensure a signal down the feed is to at least subscribe to a basic tv package ....

Aaah
Not subscribing to a cable company. And no pictures no channels no basic channels either since yesterday morning. Nothing what so ever. So let me see you think I should subscribe to a basic package and that they have closed the feed? Is that correct? I think perhaps I will try wait for a couple of days and see how it goes. If this continues then I will have to subscribe yes. Thankyou very much Regards Line engaged and thanx
