Have a read back a couple of pages all your queries have been answered on a few threads.

You use an 80 to 120 GB IDE drive, (recommended drives you will see in a lot of threads). Its a single tuner PVR so you can only watch and record channels that share the same frequency,at the same time, not record two channels at once. EPG is fine.

reread the relevent post you will see he is saying

I use an Itgate 220 with USB hard drive but that's another story. I would say the Eurovox PVR is the best choice by far over the Starview/Box PVR.

Hi Satsmo, I'm wondering if perhaps you can elaborate on this please?

I understand what you're saying, but am wondering which stations actually share frequency codes? Is there many, or are they far and few between? Is there a list somewhere to give me better insight?

as satsmo is offline I'll try to answer your question

you need to look at your channel data file using the UFL or voxer and expand the frequencies, this will show all channels on each individual transponder.
on some transponders there may be 30 channels on others only a couple, also the channels that are on the transponder you are recording off could be channels you never watch

Currently N*L in Dublin provide 138 tv channels and 35 radio stations over 13 frequencies.

As to how they are split - it ranges from 10 to 20 tv channels/radio stations per transponder(frequency). Fangio has posted a recent CDF for Dublin here CDF Files for the Eurovox - if you download and unzip the Eurovox firmware you will be able to view the file to see exactly the breakdown
