The 'Lock' light is also on, any suggestions?

the lock light should be on its telling you you have signal lock. If you have your box connected via a scart lead make sure its inserted properly at both box and tv. if you have connected with a rf lead go to config, tv settings, rf output mode should be pal i.

Checked the scart connections, both seem fine.

Changed the scart lead and all is okay.

Must have been sheer coincidence that it went faulty when I disconnected the box to flash.

Check your uhf setting is set to pal 1
Go to menu/ configure/ TV settings/ UHF settings
