Default Updating a Technomate TM6900 HD Combo

Hi there,

Is it possible to update the receiver without having to do a factory reset as it advises in the handbook. I looked at Technomates website for info but it says nothing. It seems to me that would wipe all my favourites etc. I'm new to this so I may be wrong!

Thanks
Keith

It should be possible yes, without doing a factory reset. It is on the TM1000 series anyway. The reccomended way of doing it, is indeed doing a factory reset, but I have never bothered.

Also using a TMloader you should be able to back up your channel list, which as far as I know would also store your favourites.

You don't need to do a factory re-set just load the s/w with a USB pen drive and the receiver will re-boot once the s/w is installed.

Thanks to you both for the info. I have updated with a pen drive, and it worked a treat.
