Hello everyone

I am still trying to fix a dead eurovox maxv 2008 that i have.

As said in previous posts, it will not power on. I have now jtagged the box and this seemed to work fine. It worked fine using Skymax 2 and Jkeys although after not powering on I tried flashing the box again and sometimes it flashed and sometimes I got errors.

However, the last time it worked ok using Skymax 2. The erase was successful and the TSOP file was sent properly. I was even able to read the flash on the box afterwards.

It still wont power on though!!! What could be the problem? Should I try replacing the C14 Capacitor? The person I bought the jtag kit off on fleabay supplied me with a 1000uf capacitor although it looks a lot bigger than the one currently soldered to the board. It looks more like the C13 component? It says on the side of it 16v 1000 uf (suntan CD287). The one currently in the C14 part of the board says 6.3v (I think its 6.3, could be 63?) 1000 uf and its Sanyo.

The one currently there doesnt look blown though (bulging etc. like it says in other threads I have searched through)

Please help! Frustrated and baffled!

A 16V 1000uF capacitor would work fine instead of a 6.3V 1000uF one. Rememember also that they have to go the right way round.

What is the value of the other capacitor?

c14 the common one for blowing just replace it the same way it comes out
