i have a simple question, can anyone help

i want to upgrade software to v8 but i don't have a com port on puter.

help...

Have a read lots of info here. Use a USB serial adapter in conjunction with the null modem cable or get a serial PCI card.

No you need a DB9F to DB9F Null modem cable and either a USB adapter to use in conjunction with it or a serial PCI card and the null modem cable.
