Have you had a look at the thread stuck on tune?.. it might be a minor problem... try rebooting the box and hold down the down button.. it sometime works or remove jumper and short batt.. if no luck try reflowing atmel with a hair dryer.. good luck

out of curiosity, what other programs make use of the rs232 connection? Can you do anything other than modify the net i.d?

you used to be able to get bk and ird this way but boxes took an update and thats no longer available. the max 232 is mainly used in modems and the like, ie, putty and hyperterminal. arm uart uses this connection too (thought it may connect to v+ and the 2110's but we hi9t a brick wall)

you can talk to the box to do quite a few commands with libby but the main use we have is to set net id.

hey guys, I've been trying to change the net i.d on a pace 4000 using funcard but it wasn't working so I've just tried libby. The process appears to work but when I connect the box upto a live feed the net i.d hasn't changed, any ideas what might be wrong?

also could somebody explain to me in simple terms, how to transfer the data from PC to the STB, what cables required, etc....
