i'm trying to use libby but just keep getting comms fail try again. I'm using rs232 lead which i've used to flash eurovox etc but with a female to male convertor.any help greatly appreciated

I am trying to for 1000. After giving Execute Command when I power up the box, nothing happens. comm port if fine and i am using rs232 cable.

Hello guys!

I was trying with vista thats the reason why it did not work. I used XP and it recoganised stright away! Funny!!!

does libby still work to change net id

as ive been trying for a couple of hours now to set net id for a pace 4000

it seem to conect to box ok data runs on right side of screen ive got no comm errors yet not being able to change net id
any idea of what could be wrong ?

yes it still works you using a scart to seriel lead and is your config and com port correct

yes using come port 1 settings set as follows

bits per second 57600 data bits 8 parity none stop bits 1 flow control 1

I went out and bought another receiver as I thought Id totally screwed my other one. Anyway, I took the jumper out, switched it on. In eng. menu my netid had changed to 53168 I beleive, but in libby when I clicked on "get network id" it just displays is as 00000? I have a Pace 4000T receiver here and I dont want to screw the netid again

If I cant solve this, I might have to ask someone here from Bradford/Leeds to do some jtagging on their own receiver

It also doesnt boot

I have a ROM 7 card, though I should have received a ROM 11

DONT BE LIKE THAT= surely the whole part/point of this hobby isnt to take the easy way out/in(??), or we would all be w8ing on someone fixing things ,and posting things, and us copying things and pasting things, and following instructions..etc,etc,etc,etc...
