Hello im only new to the site and i am trying to chip an NTL DC220 pace box. I have been reserching how to do this on your site but found nothing for this box. I had a look and found no jtag points so I am assuming if it can be done it has to be by programming the card. I would appriciate any help here and by the way this is a really good site.

Never heard of a DC220-are you sure it's not a DC221? These are the little silver boxes used in Rep of Ireland? If it is the only way is to get one with a card which still has details on that hasn't taken the disconnection hit. Unloop card and read details in Nagra.

i got a picture up on google images, it seems german, but it dont look like a ntl box, but it is a pace

Ye my mistake its a DC221, I got the other name from the internet when I was trying to find out details about it. It looks the exact same as the German one. So your saying the the jtag won't work and it has to be done by the card. Thanks for your help, now I have to study up on the card programming method.

I have the paired card but the subscription has been up for a long time. What do you mean by the disconnection hit and any recommendations on which unlooper to use?

Easiest way to check is run the card in a card programmer witha programme called tierinfo lite(in downloads)-get yourself a card programmer 1st and check if there's a valid IRD with the prog-you will see it in IRD Bootstrap-if valid it will start 12 ** ** ** or ** ** ** 12 - check against the Nagra serial on box to see if it matches-if it gives 00000000 in IRD bootstrap it's taken the disconnection hit and will be a doorstop-if it does match up then it's time to invest in an unlooper.

if the box was connected when service was cancelled then most likley the bk on card was replaced with a fake
