Post Any more Idea's on this 88.88

Hi has anyone got any more Idea's on how i can get my Pace 4001 Pure Ntl box
working again other then the suggestions i have already had.
There must be a way round.

Bottom line is 4001 models are crap,stick to 4000/4010/2100/2110 if you can mate.

take lid off box now next to the sim, there are 2 chips, now use a hairdryer put it on hot and use it on them chips till they get hot, then boot up box, if that works you need a reflow

I posted this on your 1st post-did you try? A reflow is flux the pins of the atmel chips and applying heat to the pins as below. Give it a go.

Nearly always an attie problem-dry joint somewhere on one of the atmel chips-try pushing down on the 2 chips( they are at front of box behind removable simm), 1 side at at a time with something non metallic (cut a piece of plastic or something stiff) push down on the pins and reboot box-see if it goes off 8888. If it does, add some heat to the pins on the side you were working with with plenty of flux-best is a solderpro with heat head (or hot air rework)-if you use a soldering iron the pins are very small so you will need a fine tipped iron.
