NTL 250 Modem w/ Infinite Hack.

Hey I guys I bought this off ebay ive followed all the instructions. Ive tried with 5 dif macs I found with a dhcp sniffer ive added them to the mode with ambit config.In amibt it says mac and then nis mac both of them I entered the mac I sniffed then I place the ip that came with the mac in the ip bit then theres a config what should I put in there? atm it is cmreg-ntlhm250-bund03.cm should it be low mid or high ? Then I followed the protect 250 guide including this 250_configurator.In the box ive horribly drawn around Was all the info I had appied to the modem with ambit config then I click write settings as it did then I went back to ambit use ch terminal and did all the commands. Rebooting when it asked me to. Then I finally come to connect the coax and reboot hte modem and bam all I get is the power light ether light no send no recieve no sync and the ready blinks not flash blinks occasionally any ideas on why does anyone thing this could be bricked. And if yes to bricked how I only just recieved it from ebay. And the guy was selling like 10 of them. Thanks

your lights are flashing normal for a modem with infinte firmware. have you changed the mac by one digit for the nic mac address
ie: mac 00:0D:9C:C3:94
nic mac 00:0D:9C:C3:95

you cant use DHCPsniffer for your own macs

so is there away that once I get these macs I can add them without having to go thru the whole process again and also does the last 2 digts be like A1 A2 in the mac and nis mac.

you can and i do. if you put a working mac from a different ubr(i used a family members) in the top box it searchs their ubr. i dont know how but i know this works as i have been online with two different modems using this method for a good 6 months.

spot on or if the last 2 are ec then ec for mac ed for nic

Only problem is I dont have any family living near where I live the closest is wigan could I put the mac of my normal modem into the sniffer and let it search for a mac also when I went to change the mac can I just goto ambit config and add teh macs n ip then reboot with coax so I dont have to redo all the other stuff like dload_max_tries 0 n crap.

yep you can just change mac/nic. you could just use your own mac address so long as you dont try putting both modems on at the same time.you could also post and ask someone in your area to swap macs if its allowed on this forum(not sure)

yes different UBR which ambit tool is best for DHCP is not

when you say (i used a family members) so thats not you scanning for macs ?
