The fun cable provides - the only reason to stay with Virgin

Hi all,

I took out a new contract with VM at the end of last year for my new place and the contract of course expires in the next few months. I won't go into details but it's been such an utter nightmare, especially at the beginning, I came away thinking Virgin are probably the worst company I've ever dealt with in the UK. Seriously, I couldn't believe how bad they are.
And now with the throttling and god-awful attitude of Virgin, their partnering with the recording industry and PR statements saying they're anti-filesharing I couldn't be away from them quick enough.

Man, I remember good ol' Telewest when my parents had it installed back at the beginning of the millennium after much 'can we have it???' talk from me. I sat down with the engineers and had a good ol' chat about emulation and console modding - good times. TW were always great to us. What a contrast to what I've been through with Virgin this last year.

But the point I want to make is, there is literally only 1 reason why I could stay with Virgin for a second year - that's the ability to mess about with boxes and have fun on their network, something you can't do elsewhere! Most TV is utter trash and I download the few shows I want to watch, but there's something special about having a magic box.

Well done Virgin - perhaps you should think about this next time you do a keyroll.

if you feel like that that i would leave them, i for 1 think they are not a bad company, i still think there broadband are 1 of the best, has for filesharing i think every company will bring in that, not just virgin, and i would never take anything for granted with saying (Well done Virgin - perhaps you should think about this next time you do a keyroll) and having a special box....they could end all this tomorrow

i know what both of you are saaying but here is the but,

we rely on the same individuals for rom and emulation fixes,,if these people retire which 3 massive names have already...your free tv will be nomore.....

no eurovox fix ...no starview fix ....etc

@spikebaby,,yeh totally agree, with sunrise and co, not many ppl that can do fixs thats why i went to moscs. but if they got hit dont no if i could fix them tbh, but saying all that i dont mind inputting keys everyday

totaly agree i think there a good company to.At the end of the day i would not cancel subscription just go down to minimum package every 1 should pay some thing then maybey virgin will think twice about stopping the hack because in the long run they would lose out because no hack no minimum package.
