Default servicescan woes

ok, so we just flashed on a new image and everything is looking good. got the ftp up and running and were all set to do a servicescan. unfortunately it won't let us change the cable provider from the german(i think ) provider that sportster came with.

how we change?
saw somewhere that with these new images - from tcb toolbar - you might need to enter your location, but i don't know where?

any advice muchly appreciated

If you Dont have uk options (6952+6887)
Its easier to Reflash
Than insert cables XML
Locate Blade Quad and this will sort your Scanning probs Out ......Paul

If you backed up your services.xml and bouquets.xml from your previous image then FTP them to var/tuxbox/config/zapit and then with remote press dbox > service > reload channel lists........all done......no need for scanning.

If you haven't saved your services and bouquets, follow Paul's advice and reflash with Blade Quad........better than sportster anyway IMO.

ok - flashed successfully - now we looking at the servicescan - much better has the uk options, and we have the frequency and netid.
only problem, its isn't scanning. we've tried with one transponder and with complete - any idea what our modulation should be?

Never mind retrospect m8, lol, ALWAYS keep a back up of your services and bouquets.

Another great idea is to keep a back up of your working keys folder !!!!

picture me standing in the corner banging my head against a wall...trust me, there will be back-up-age in the future - a whole little series of folder with everything i ever need to *never* have to do all this again.

entered our location by the way, but keep getting transponderscan failed.

still this bloody service scan thing

set the location, it rebooted, we went to servicescan...still failed.this time it didn't even think about it.

this is killing me!!!

oh my god - i think we've got it.ahem, we needed to fill in the 000 after our transponder numbers.

only found 30, but heck, its nice to be back in business...

thanks so much to everyone...unless of course this hasn't worked in which case i'll see you in ten
