Default Satellite Tv for the Computer?

Hello,

I have recently come accross some websites selling Satellite tv subscriptions that you can watch on your PC. They say you pay a one time fee of around $40 and you get something like 3000 channels.

Now I have done some research online and it appears that these satellite TV programs often combine many of the freely available broadcasts into a single program. In addition, many of the channels are foreign language and even some of the english movies are dubbed in Chinese and other language. Furthermore, there is alot of sports and news channels and very few movie channels that show anything new or good.

Now for $40 once off fee I wouldnt mind getting a whole bunch of sports channels. Also, the website says there is a money back guarentee. Have any of you guys tried these services with success? Let me know

Thanks,

Ciao

Ive removed the post with the link in it - the link is to a file on your C:\ drive so no-one else can see it!

If the money back guarantee is genuine then you have nothing to lose, but from what Ive seen over the last 18 months or so the services are pretty poor quality and only offer a limited range of obscure channels.

There are some free p2p offerings if you do some searching

Yes Skystar DVB-S2 are great for HD Viewing of satellite TV on your pc i would recommend that. It costs slightly more but is future ready. You then use it with a program like AltDVB and away you go. Enjoy
