80cm or 100 cm dish advice please

Now i know a bigger dish is normally better but the question is will i get that many more or "better" satellites with a 1m dish over a 80cm, is there a big difference? i live in s wales and will be ordering a TM5400ci+ shortly, so you have some idea what i will be able to "get". I can fit either size as its in a sheltered location, Just dont want to get an 80cm and find i should have got a 1m but also dont want an 1m if a 80cm would do!
I have looked at the footprint charts and tbh (insert smilie with picture of head exploding here!)
what do you think? im sort of torn between the two at the moment
(just finished making my patio mount by the way so wont be long now)

yes buy the bigger dish and if you can get a 1.2m will be even better

There is a couple or of dB gain difference between a 1m and a 0.8m, it depends what channels you are after, but in general I would say go for a 1m, the cost differntial is minimal. If you wanted 16E for example for DigitalB, the 1m would probably be necessary to give you enough rain fade margin.

just ordered a tm5400 and 1m motorised dish from southern sat
