Led simm flashtester , what lead do i use?

For chartmans led simm flashtester what lead do i use, as my usb to serial is useless. Thanks

Update ive just bought a old pc with a 25 pin printer card on the back, is this what i need? if so what lead do i need to connect to the flashtester?
Is it 9 pin to 25 pin cable adapter?

update, it doesnt matter, ive found out its a male port on the back of my pc i need to be using, and i need a 9 pin male to female adapter if anyones interested as i see not many people know about these flashtesters, well im going to buy one tomorrow, and i'll update you all in my other thread about the flashtester to tell you how im doing.

From what ive seen with these i think il stick to the normal led simm.
I think you will have the same problem trying to use lpt1 printer port, you need rs232 serial port i would think, did you not get a serial cable with it ?

Hi red, No i didnt get a lead,i had to go buy an old pc with male com ports on the back as my laptop nor pc had any , so i have now found out i need a r232 serial cable male to female 9 pin. The old led simm sounds good.lol

Oh thats good then, you will need com port for your unlooper also , you can buy pci cards with rs232 to fit in your pc.

cheeers red, luckily on the piece of sh.it pc i bought it has 2 com ports on the back, its that old it has windows 98 installed 128mb memory and built in graphics, cant believe i paid for it, he should of paid me to take it away, i went to the shop near mine and they didnt have any pci cards in so i couldnt be bothered messing about anymore so i just bought the pc for £30.00 off a 'MATE' hopefully all will go smoothly tomorrow, if so i'll probably just take the comports out of the old pc and stick them in mine.
