Hi there,
ok so I've modded a cpl of boxes on my own, both of which were ambit 200s and fairly straight forward. I've never touched a 250 tho My friend that dont see too often has had a modded box for sometime that he got from somebody, and it stopped working ages back, and the person who did the box for him was non too helpful in getting it back up and running. This is of course an ambit 250 Anyways, I said to pop it round and will take a look. Tried running it with just ethernet and power plugged in - got no response from the pc, saying a network connection is unplugged, although power lights are on on the box. I wondered then if its the network port that is goosed, so tried connecting the box to pc via USB. It is now recognising the box so the box cant be fully dead....however the hardware wizard is unable to find drivers for the box? I tried downloading from the nthell site the usb drivers for the ambit 250, then the 200 to no avail when specifying the folder to search. Then I vaguely recall some firmwares people used are based on the motorola sb3100/4100 so downloaded them drivers too, and again it still can't find the drivers. Does anyone have any idea of what USB drivers could possibly work for this modem to get it back up and running for me? Many thanks |

Hi
I think the usb on the 250 has to have an address for the pc. I'm sure its mentioned in the haynes manual. I have a Infinite Usb Driver( if thats what Fw it flashed with) that I could e mail if needed. I've never had the need to config the usb as i always use the rg45. Hope ya get sorted n message if the drivers are needed. |

There are no Infinite `drivers`.
Its Infinite Firmware for cable modems. Modems using ethernet require no specific drivers, just a working network port.
