Default Noob with some basic questions :D

Hi all,

I'm a satellite noob looking for a bit of advice on these CAM's :P.

When i started looking at satellites my main goal was (and still really is) to get the premiership football next season and after reading for a while i found that digitalb was the best option. (I'm also going to buy a technomate 5400CI+ with 1m motorised dish).

I then started reading about these CAM's and found that digitalb can be 'unlocked' using a diablo 2.3 CAM or something like that :P and since this costs about £50 less than a digitalb card and with the CAM i would be able to access alot more channels i think this is probaly what i want to do.

So basicly my first question is that i wanted to make sure everything i've just said sounds right? and if there is a better option to what ive just said? :P

Do you think that digitalb being able to be unlocked will last long? (i know this is probably impossible to answer:P, but i just wanna make sure that digitalb aren't planning to upgrade there encryption soon or something :P).

And i also just wanted to make sure everything i'm planning on buying is compatible with each other. So i'm getting a TM-5400CI+ and 'Diablo Cam Light 2.3 + CAS 3 Programmer' (is there a difference between 'light' and normal? i can only see the light version at shops).

I did have some more questions but i can't think of them atm

Thanks for any help you can give me!

No one can tell you how long a package might remain open but it is unlikely that DigitAlb, or Canal Digital, will be available for too long once the new football season begins.
The only guaranteed way to view the football is with a subscription to DigitAlb, or other package.
The light cam is the normal cam, the other version is the wireless.

i've just recently bought one with cas3 and yes there is always the chance the channels could go off at any time

on the receiver don't patch it as you might get issues with using the cam in the receiver, as the cam will do the same as the patch but also give the conax channels of canal digital and digitalb
