Only guessing mate but I think the suffix 's' after the 9600 may well stand for satellite..........why not hook it up to find out ????????

It's a satellite box, the s suffix is for Satellite, but it's not for sky though (sky and Satellite are different things)...

A Nokia Dbox2 is a very good box, I have one and it's great, a bit fiddly at times, but works well...

They're not fiddly at all mate, very easy to operate and an all round great piece of kit IMHO.

I'm still newish to the Dbox, so still finding things I get stuck with and have to look up why I'm stuck...

I've loads of respect for you mate.......you brought a real dead box back to life and are now enjoying the benefits of your efforts.

dboxes are great fun, plenty to be messing around with, more use as a hobby for me as watching TV is crap, LOL

Ain't that the truth mate. I don't watch a damn thing on 'proper' TV, I download the few shows I watch per week. Dbox is just a fun learning experience for me, I got it just cuz I could. Virgin aren't losing a thing by me having it, I would never pay for anything on TV bar the sodding TV licence anyway.

Thanks, it was all an experiment for me really, I didn't know the first thing about them when I got the box, thanks to this site I got it up and running, I haven't watched TV with it much though, it's just serving as a 2nd box for me to watch what I want to watch, assuming it'll play it back through yWeb...
