Many of my channels (ex TW, Sagem DBox2, Commando 9.2x 2x) have not been working for a few months.

Went for it today to see if I could fix the problem.

Installed The Chatterbox Toolbar (TCB) to get latest keys
thechatterboxcc.ourtoolbar.com

Edited:
/var/keys/keylist.txt
that's for Evocamd Softcam
changed long hex numbers for ones on TCB for my area and everything came back to life again.

Had to edit via FTP as TuxBox Commander wouldn't allow me to edit anything.

Can anyone explain about auto updating the keys so I don't have to keep doing this?

Easy stuff mate, if you don't want to flash with an auto updating image you just need to FTP the necessary files over.

Will PM you a link to what you need.

Wasn't sure what those magic files were.
Don't mind re-flashing except for moving all my settings over.
Thought it was worth posting the above in case anyone else wanted to manually update their keys.

I did do a fair bit of reading and I couldn't get to the downloads area.
Thought I'd post what I'd learned that actually worked for me so any other poor souls who came across this thread could have a go, without having to read through 80+ pages of replies. If it's such a common problem then why isn't there an easy sticky on it?
Better a manual update that works (if you can't find the right files) than no channels working.

make sure u copy ur sevice and bouquet files first...copy these back on to ur new img and it saves u scanning and having to reorder ur channels. on new img just need to reset ur network settings...
