i can't get my seagate 5400 120gb to record on my eurovox pvr

hi there i am wondering if any1 can help.
i got my box 2day loaded up my firmware 2.0 and the tv is fine its just the HDD i recieved with the box (Seagate momentus 5400 120GB) does want to work properly. i press record it freezes then wen i go to play it back it says it has recorded 4 seconds of nothing and wont even play for 4 secs. its hard to explain but im wondering if i am missing something????

can anyone help me?

i'm having this problem too with my western digital hd, anyone have any ideas why this is happening?

check out Eurovox ex500 pvr

lots of people have had problems with it.

had a look, still doesn't solve our problems.

make sure the hd is fully inserted i use seagate 120gb and not had any problems i insert the hd with power off also when you press record the pic freezes for a few seconds b4 it starts recording have you let it record for a couple of min befor stopping and then checking

yeah its in all the way.

press record, but it only records 4 seconds of a prog and in the pvr shows a black screen.

if i set something to record in the epg, it says its recording allright, but check the pvr and it didnt record,just black screen again.

what sw have you installed on the box and are all chans clearing

box seems to be working fine, have kuro 1.1a on it and have all channels.

someone did say to press the pause then the record thats worth a try the only other thing i think it could be is the hd may look like its fully inserted looking at it from outside the box but may not be someone did post that they had similar problem but on opening the box the fitting for the hd was not screwed down properly but you should contact your supplier b4 opening up the box and see what he says.
