Default Passio HD New Firmware Released 7th July - But Beware..

Hey folks,

Well there is yet another update for the Passion HD box, this one is supposed to:
  • You can Upgrade your STB using USB.
  • Better picture quality. and many more features added.
I haven't noticed any improvement on picture quality, have no idea on the features added (why on earth dont they have release notes with their firmware!) but I have noticed that the "Time Setting" page is now blank so you can't amend the time for BST so the clock is going to be an hour out.

Emailed FortecStar to see if this is a known bug but I won't hold my breath, took them 3 weeks and an email to their head office before I got a reply from their tech support the last time.

Put the loader firmware on a USB stick, with nothing else, loadinto Passion and turn on. Display will show File1, press centre button on front untilit loads, then remove USB stick and reboot. Repeat process to load main firmware, remember, only one on the stick at a time ;-)
