System info will change to reflect the bin file you use, e.g. s/w ver will change to April 21 2008. If flashed successfully.

I flashed my Max V with the 18/04/2008 update and had to put the codes in manually today. My system info reports that the software version is 18/04/2008.

Would it do any good flashing an older software version or is there a simpler answer?

Turns out my box wasnt flashed , doooooohhhhhhhh

heres my post from another thread if anyone can help :
Hi guys
I thought my box was flashed , it wasnt.

I tried to flash it again today , i uploaded channel data . I then pressed DOWNLOAD firmware & a new box appeared saying SENDING. A new box appeared saying WRITING. After writing i get another message saying DOWNLOAD FAILED.

I tried this three times & keep getting the same message. I checked my system info & it still says:

Model : dvb-xc box
s/w ver : 1.0 ssc4 oct 20 2006
h/w ver : 2.0 oct 20 2006
bootstrap : v001

Box : My box is eurovox max (Blue)
Firmware used : Eurovox max blue - unified flash loader 21/04/2008 release

.................................................. .....................

I also tried flashing the box from my laptop(Vista) but it cant read the box,i get a message saying "No available com port" or it just flashes from 3 & 4
. I been reading allot on the forum allday & been reading about force changing ports ect but i just cant figure out how to do this

any suggestions guys for me?

cheers
roco

sometimes you have to wait a few minutes for the box to get the new codes sometimes 5 mins.
if you waited longer than that you might have a problem
