Hi Guys
Heres a strange problem maybe some of you can help me with. Got my new Eurovox PVR the other day noticed when i connected the TV/VCR RF OUTPUT on a cable that runs upstairs to my bedroom i can get picture and sound but there is no colour in the picture. When i connect it to my tv downstairs with short aeriel lead the picture is perfect. Now i know this set up works fine with my Eurovox Max blue as its worked from day one with this box for ages. I would also point out that the box has all channels and works perfect recording and also works no problems through scart or the same rf output socket to my main TV downstairs. Its just when its put up the cable to my bedroom there seems to be a problem on this particular box but as i have said the Max blue box works perfect which eliminates any problems with the coax cable or connections. Also the coax cable to my bedroom is about 15-20m long. Heres list of things i have tried and done All Connectors are in right place. Checked coax cable with multimeter for shorts but all ok. Tried on different UHF frequencies and also retuned TV upstars to that frequency before anyone suggests. Also Set to B/K on box and TV. Bought signal booster and fitted from back of Eurovox Pvr before it goes up cable but still same picture with no colour and sound. Reconnected old eurovox max blue and picture and sound still perfect on this box. I know someoone is going to say just leave it like that then but i really dont want 2 boxes connected up and sitting about if i can help it. I dont Know if the Kuro software has early issues with this or if the signal out from this connection is not as strong as previous Eurovoxes. These are the only 2 things i can think off. Any suggestions guys would be helpfull i think i have covered most things but if i havnt just let me know. Cheers |

Try setting it to PAL I - that is the correct UK standard.

I have managed to isoloate and find out that it is the TV that is the problem. I disconnected the Tv which is a Beko 23" LCD telly and replaced it with a Old style CRT portable that i had up the loft and the picture is fine all colour sound etc.
The thing i cant figure out is why the LCD Tv works perfect with my Eurovox max blue box rf out but not with The Eurovox PVR rf. I have tried on all settings Pal 1, B/G, D/K and still the same. Any ideas why this would be doing this only with this combination of box and LCD TV. Cheers |

Ive turned it off and tried it but it still the same sound picture and no colour in the picture.I thought maybe the signal might be too weak for the LCD tv So tried boosting it first at the Eurovox PVR end and then tried it before it goes into the antenna connection on the LCD Tv and still the same problem.
This ones got me baffled guys im pretty technically minded and have tried most things i dont really want to phone a Tv repair shop and start explaining about Eurovoxes etc. I hate it when these type of things beat me lol. I did read on a post somewhere that on some TV's Pal 1 is not really Pal 1 but a different kind of Pal depending on where there manufactured but i dont know how much of that is true. I just cant figure why it works perfect with the Max Blue box but not the PVR 5000. Any more suggestions would be helpfull |
