Hi, yes thats what it was. I'm using progdvb with vplug. Can the dvb-c card be zapped by the cable provider?

Willin is right, the card itself cannot be zapped as you could always update the firmware for the card, but what they can do is change the encryption or stream type so that the pluging fail to decode the image, similar to what they did with fenrir/yankse. Vplug still works but you have to manually add keys.

I have heard there is a way of autoupdating the keys using Vplug

Hi, Thanks for your help, I thought zapping meant that my card would be get fried lol and I would have to buy another one!

I haven't autoupdated I've manually entered the keys into the vplug editor using the (something i cant remember right now)faq chatterbox toolbar, apparently the new 5a01 key is the same one for 5b01

I still have one problem though for some channels I only get audio, to get video I have to go to Settings>options>Graph by xgr file> and change the TV channel setting from 'Elecard' to 'Mainconcept' anything else just crashes progdvb. Also this stops other channels from working until I switch back to Elecard. Do you have a quick solution for this? I know its something to do with registering codecs or something, thanks

Further down in options/direct show the video renderer should be VMR9, make sure you have the latest direct x installed, you really need nvidia purevideo decoder, try google or torrents, then use this for tv channel.

I've changed the video renderer and installed the nvidia purevideo decoder but there are still some channels for which I have to change the TV/AC3 setting. Do you have any other solution? thanks

I've managed to sort it out, I changed the TV/AC3 setting to Elecard + AC3filter and all seems ok, (at the moment) thanks for your help
